Invisalign
Invisalign is a discreet orthodontic treatment and is an alternative to traditional metal braces, more commonly referred to as ‘train tracks’. Similar to traditional metal braces, Invisalign slowly moves, and straightens, the teeth into a more favourable and aesthetically pleasing position.
How does Invisalign work?
Scan of Teeth
Firstly we take a scan of the teeth, along with photographs of the teeth, to produce a visualisation of the teeth before and after treatment. This is done via a 3D digital image, called a “Clin-check”
Ordering Multiple Retainers
Once happy with this, we order multiple retainers which will help the teeth move into the desired position. As part of the movement, little attachments, or buttons, may need to be placed on the teeth to help the teeth move. We may also need to create space for movement; this is achieved by polishing between certain teeth to create the desired space.
Removal of Buttons
After treatment is completed, we will remove the buttons. Once treatment is completed, we can also look at perfecting your smile by use of composite bonding, veneers, or crowns.
